8 days trekking - The North of La Gomera

Hike over the island from east to west and discover the green northern half of La Gomera! You will hike through the unique laurel forest, which exists only in few places all over the world. You will hike through deep gorges and along ridge paths with impressing views. On your way, you will pass small villages and terrace fields planted with bananas and potatoes and you will gain an insight into the daily life of the people living on La Gomera. You will spend the first two nights in the placid capital of the island, San Sebastián. Here you will take a starter tour with a hiking guide who will explain the specialities of La Gomera to you. During the following days, you will hike without a guide. We will provide you with in-depth directions, a hiking map and detailed information on the specialities you will encounter on your way. Your trekking tour will lead you through the northern valleys Hermigua and Vallehermoso and into the small mountain village Las Hayas. Finally, it ends in Valle Gran Rey, the former village of dropouts where you can still feel the hippie flair today.

8 days trekking La Gomera - The South of La Gomera

Discover the south of La Gomera! 
You’ll hike over the island from west to east and thereby discover the sunny southern half of the island. You’ll climb the highest mountain, walk on formerly cultivated terrace fields, pass deserted villages, and sometimes you’ll be accompanied by loose goats. Palm groves, agaves and almond trees line your way. Your hiking week starts with a guided starter hike in the spa Valle Gran Rey in the western part of the island. Here, our guide will familiarize you with the island and its specialities. Afterwards you will hike on your own. We will provide you with in-depth directions, a hiking map and detailed information on the specialities you will encounter on your way. In the afternoon of each day, you will reach an accommodation which we have reserved vor you. There, you will be spoilt with local dishes.

Combine our individual trekking tours! You will be on tour by foot for two weeks and you'll discover the whole island of La Gomera. Discover the unique contrasts of this island of only about 400 qkm: green laurel forest, banana und vegetable fields in the north; palm groves, deserted terrace fields, goat herds, and black beaches in the south. You can undertake this tour in 11 days without days off or more relaxed in 15 days with 4 days off.
